The Coffee Test Story, Writers Theater
Stepping onto the stage at the Writers Theatre in Glencoe, Illinois, our founder, Karrie McDermott, perfectly mirrored the venue's dedication to profound narrative craft. She didn't just share a success story; she shared a human one. Karrie took us back to that all-too-familiar post-graduation crossroads where necessity outweighs preference. For Karrie, that meant accepting a job selling coffee equipment—a career move that would eventually bring her industry accolades, but started with a secret she kept from everyone.
Short Story Theatre Highland Park Arts Center

Sharing a story is an act of courage, and we were so grateful for the enthusiastic audience that gathered to listen. Our piece, "What a High School Minimum Wage Job Taught Me," resonated in a way we never fully expected.
